Carole’s Retreat is an absolute gem on St. Simons Island. Every detail of this home has been thoughtfully filled with love and care — you can feel it the moment you walk through the door.
The screened porches are a dream. We started every morning out there, coffee in hand, listening to the birds and soaking in the shade of the most majestic trees. And the beaches? Never-ending, pristine, and utterly peaceful. We even got to see dolphins and an armadillo.
This isn’t just a rental — it’s a true retreat. Jackie and Chris have created something very special here, and we are so grateful we got to experience it. Highest possible recommendation. We will absolutely be back! 💗

This cozy house is located in a quiet neighborhood on a road lined with picturesque Spanish moss live oaks. The location gives easy access to stores, restaurants, the beach and other activities on the island (Fort Frederica and golf). It offers spacious rooms throughout that are beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. In addition to the upstairs bedrooms, there is a great game room complete with a pool table and board games. A large well equipped kitchen overlooking the living area has new appliances including an induction stovetop. The hosts responded quickly to our inquiries.

We had a great stay at the Opal townhome! Loved having one bedroom on the main level and three full bathrooms, which made it super convenient for everyone. The home was clean, comfortable, and in a great location close to everything we needed. The host was very friendly and responsive, making check-in /check-out and communication easy. Would definitely stay here again!

Plenty of room in this house to sleep us all (8 people). Spotlessly clean. VERY well appointed (iron, coffee, shampoo, etc). Easy parking for 4 cars. Quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommended for other large groups.

The place is absolutely fantastic! My friends (13 of us) and I had plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out. The air bnb was clean, the living area was spacious, and the kitchen was perfect for cooking and hanging out. I would highly recommend staying here if given the chance! The hosts were very communicative and organized.
