Perfect for family beach weeks, couple getaways, or small-group escapes, it’s your home base for soaking up all the charm SSI has to offer. Start your mornings with coffee on the patio, wander the beaches, shop local favorites, and enjoy dining al fresco. After a full day, come back to a cozy, comfortable space where you can kick off your sandals, unwind, and recharge.

The Opal SSI has plenty of space for you and your crew with three comfy bedrooms and three full baths. Downstairs, you’ll enjoy an open living + dining area that flows into the kitchen, a laundry room, and a queen ensuite retreat complete with a walk-in closet and oversized shower. Step outside to the patio — perfect for slow coffee mornings or evening cocktails. Upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms: another spacious king ensuite with a shower/tub bath, walk-in closet, and its own private deck (your quiet escape spot!), plus a twin-bed ensuite with a shower bath and walk-in closet that’s ideal for kids, cousins, or friends. Each room is designed to feel cozy, relaxed, and perfectly set up for easy island living.
House Rules
The Opal SSI Hosted by Golden Isles Getaways TERMS & HOUSE RULES We want every stay at The Opal SSI to be enjoyable, safe, and stress-free. To keep things running smoothly, please review and agree to the following terms before booking: 1. Parties / Confirmation / ID Verification / Same-Day Check-In / Minimum Age / Residential Use No Parties or Events Golden Isles Getaways follows St. Simons Island regulations and has a strict no-party, no-event policy. No unregistered events or gatherings are allowed. Decorations may not be taped, nailed, or attached to walls, as this causes damage. Violations may result in immediate termination of your booking, eviction, loss of payments/deposits, and fines. Identity Verification As with hotels, St. Simons requires identity verification for short-term rentals. Golden Isles Getaways uses Truvi for secure third-party vetting with GDPR-compliant, encrypted verification. Please complete the process within 48 hours of booking (check your spam folder for an email from Truvi). Failure to complete verification will result in cancellation. Same-Day Bookings For reservations made after 1 PM with same-day check-in, we may need until 6 PM to complete cleaning and restocking. Drop-off at 4 PM is allowed if early entry isn’t ready. Minimum Age Primary renter must be 30+. Exceptions may be approved with added deposit and confirmation of house rules. Booking guest must remain onsite throughout the stay. For every 4 guests under 21, there must be 1 adult aged 30+ present. Residential Use Only The property is strictly for residential use. Commercial photo/video shoots require prior approval and a separate agreement. 2. Pets & Service Animals Pet Policy This home does not allow pets due to severe allergies. Undisclosed pets will incur a $500 fee plus $25 per incident of waste left on property, and guests are responsible for any damages. Service Animals Licensed ADA service animals are welcome with prior notice and documentation. Service animals may not be left unattended, must remain off furniture/counters unless medically necessary, and must be on flea/tick/parasite prevention. Proof of vaccinations is required. Guests are responsible for all damage/cleaning. Misrepresentation of a pet as a service animal may result in eviction without refund. 3. Check-In / Check-Out / Termination Check-In / Check-Out Standard check-in: 4 PM Standard check-out: 10 AM Early Check-In Available case-by-case if no same-day departure. $100/hr fee applies; expedited cleans may incur an additional $150. Late Check-Out Unapproved late check-outs incur $100/hr. Overstays that delay incoming guests may be charged up to one night’s rent plus $150 cleaner call-out and any lost revenue. Non-Payment & Termination Failure to pay is a breach of agreement and may result in eviction. Any collection or legal fees are the guest’s responsibility. 4. Damages / Fees / Smoking Linens & Amenities Stained/damaged linens will be billed at replacement cost (e.g., washcloth $10, duvet cover $45). Missing spa amenity bottles: shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand wash $25 each; lotion $30. Smoking Policy Smoking is prohibited inside and outside the property. Violations result in a $1500 fine + 5 days’ rent for remediation and any lost revenue from blocked dates. Excessive Cleaning & Furniture Extra cleaning: $125/hr. Furniture reset: $25 per piece or $100 per room. 5. Guests & Quiet Hours Registered Guests Only Only registered guests are allowed on property. Additional overnight guests must be approved. Unauthorized guests may result in eviction. Quiet Hours SSI ordinance requires quiet between 9 PM – 8 AM. Violations may result in fines equal to one night’s rent plus responsibility for disrupted neighboring reservations. 6. Maintenance / Access / Utilities Repairs & Maintenance Please report issues promptly. Guests are responsible for damages caused by negligence. Manager reserves the right to repair/replace appliances at discretion. Access Golden Isles Getaways staff and vendors may access the property for repairs, inspections, or emergencies. Maintenance requests serve as permission to enter. Utilities Normal usage is included. Excessive or wasteful use may result in additional charges. 7. Forgotten Items / Liability Mail & Items Left Behind Golden Isles Getaways will hold forgotten items for one week. Shipping is available at guest’s expense. Mail delivery is not guaranteed. Liability Guests are responsible for their own belongings. Golden Isles Getaways and property owner are not liable for theft, loss, or forgotten items. 8. Security Deposit / Damage Waiver Guests may choose between a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable $ damage waiver (recommended). Damage waiver covers accidental damage up to $500 if reported before checkout. Intentional damage, smoking, pets, and rule violations are not covered. 9. Agreement & Acceptance This document constitutes the full occupancy agreement. Golden Isles Getaways reserves the right to update these terms. Violations may result in cancellation or eviction without refund. By booking, you acknowledge you have read and agreed to these terms.

Guest Access
You’ll have full run of the house and outdoor spaces to make yourself at home. The only spots off-limits are a few locked closets we keep for owner, cleaning, and maintenance supplies.

The Opal SSI includes free private parking for up to 2 cars. Just use the two spots furthest to the right along the fence (directly facing the unit). To keep good neighbor vibes, please don’t park in the other spaces—they’re reserved. Of course, the island is way more fun when you ditch the car: bike it, golf cart it, or wander on foot beneath the live oaks. If you’re craving a little adventure, you can even saddle up for a horseback ride on the beach, through the marsh, or under mossy oak trails. Or take things offshore with a boat day on the water. (Just give us a shout—we can help set either up for a fee!)
